Applicants are required to input all of the following personal information when they create their JUPAS accounts:

The HKID card numbers / passport numbers (for applicants who do not have HKID cards) which the applicants have used to register their JUPAS accounts MUST BE IDENTICAL to those used to register for their HKDSE Examination at the HKEAA. Applicants who have used different identity documents to register for different sittings in the HKDSE Examination must notify the JUPAS Office IMMEDIATELY. If they fail to do so, the JUPAS Office, the 9 JUPAS participating-institutions and the SSSDP institutions will NOT be able to obtain ALL the HKDSE Examination results (past and / or current) of the applicants concerned from the HKEAA. In such cases, these applications may be disadvantaged since the 9 JUPAS participating-institutions and the SSSDP institutions would not be able to review all the applicants' sittings in their HKDSE Examination.
Applicants' Status (Local / Non-local)
Non-local applicants who are given offers under JUPAS are required to pay higher tuition fees than local applicants. Such applicants should check the amount of tuition fees with the institutions offering them admissions.
The institutions offering applicants admissions will further check their local / non-local status at the time of admission according to the proof of identity produced during registration / enrolment and will decide on the tuition fees to be charged, the amount of which is based on their local / non-local status in Hong Kong.
The JUPAS Office, the 9 JUPAS participating-institutions and the SSSDP institutions will contact applicants via one or more of the following channels:
phone (home and mobile);
the message boxes in applicants' JUPAS accounts.
Applicants should therefore ensure that their contact information (such as email addresses, phone numbers and mailing addresses, etc.) is correct, otherwise they may not receive important messages and correspondences from the JUPAS Office, the 9 JUPAS participating-institutions and the SSSDP institutions.

# As email is one of the channels that the JUPAS Office, the 9 JUPAS participating-institutions and the SSSDP institutions will use to communicate with applicants, applicants must ensure that the setting of their personal email accounts will not filter out or place such correspondences in the trash / junk bins.
^ Emails and SMS are delivered via third party network providers and therefore the JUPAS Office is not responsible for any delay, loss, transfer, amendment or damage arising from the transmission process via third party network providers.
Should there be any discrepancies between information contained in emails and SMS and applicants' JUPAS accounts, the information contained in the latter (i.e. the JUPAS accounts) is final.
Applicants are strongly advised to log on their JUPAS accounts to double-check the related information.
