Application Information

Interviews or Tests


From March / April 2017 onwards, applicants may be invited to participate in orientation events, attend interviews or sit for tests, depending on the programmes which the applicants have applied for.  The 9 JUPAS participating-institutions and the SSSDP institutions concerned will contact applicants either via mails, or SMS, or personal emails#, or the message boxes in their JUPAS accounts, or the 9 JUPAS participating-institutions' and the SSSDP institutions' websites.  In this regard, applicants should ensure that their communication information (such as email addresses, phone numbers and mailing addresses, etc.) is correct, otherwise they may not receive important messages and correspondences from the 9 JUPAS participating-institutions and the SSSDP institutions.

It is applicants' responsibilities to check all information from, and messages sent by, the JUPAS Office, the 9 JUPAS participating-institutions and the SSSDP institutions by post, via phone, via the JUPAS online application system or via email and / or SMS.  If they fail to do so, they will miss important information.  No reminders to check for such information will be sent to applicants.

Not all applicants are invited to interviews or tests.  If applicants are not invited to interviews or tests, it does not mean that they are not being considered.  Each JUPAS participating-institution, SSSDP institution and programme has its own method of selection.

Before attending interviews or tests, applicants should obtain permission from their schools for leave of absence if the interviews or tests are scheduled during school hours.  Applicants who are unable to attend interviews or tests should inform the JUPAS participating-institutions and / or the SSSDP institutions concerned in advance so that alternative arrangements may be made for them, if possible.

# As one of the channels that the JUPAS Office, the 9 JUPAS participating-institutions and the SSSDP institutions will use to contact applicants is via emails, applicants must ensure that the setting of their personal email accounts will not filter out or place such correspondences in the trash / junk bins.
