Integrated Bachelor of Business Administration Programme 工商管理學士綜合課程

INTEGRATED BBA

Short Description

The Integrated BBA programme (IBBA) is the most popular business programme, providing students with the greatest flexibility to pursue comprehensive, integrated and high-quality business education. Under the IBBA programme, there are multiple options students can choose from to complete the 4-year degree.

9 concentrations:

Among all specialised options within the programme, students can freely choose one to two concentrations from the following 9 concentration areas:

  • Business Analytics
  • Business Economics
  • Finance
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Management of International Business
  • Human Resource Management
  • Marketing
  • Big Data and Quantitative Marketing
  • General Business

There is no quota limitation on each individual concentration, and students choose their concentrations based on their interests, strengths and aspirations. They can also adjust their areas of concentration along the academic journey. Students will only be required to declare their concentration(s) in their final year of study.

Global experiential learning is an essential component to the IBBA curriculum. Since 2018-19, IBBA students have to complete global experiential learning before graduation. In general, more than 80% IBBA students participated in an overseas exchange programme before they graduate. CUHK Business School also provides ample internship opportunities for students to gain valuable on-the-job training and in-depth understanding of their targeted professions. More than 95% of IBBA students take up internships before they graduate and many of them receive return offers and become permanent employees of the companies where they have served as interns.

Transfer-in option:

Last but not least, students may opt for International Business and Chinese Enterprise (IBCE), which is a stream under IBBA. IBCE is a joint programme between CUHK Business School and the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina (USC) that students will spend a year in USC among 4 years of study.  It is the first and only undergraduate programme in Hong Kong with an emphasis on international business activities between the United States and China.  It aims at training a group of future business leaders who are equipped with comprehensive knowledge about the complex yet delicate business environment in China and the United States. In IBCE, students are offered exclusive opportunities to explore the world and business by study trips, as well as the rare chances to train up their transnational mindset by working abroad.

Double Degree, Double Major and Minor options:

Students can also plan their double degree with the School of Journalism and Communication as a 5-year programme. They may also explore double majors with another business programme such as Professional Accountancy (JS4240), Quantitative Finance (JS4252), Insurance, Financial and Actuarial Analysis (JS4238) and also our newly introduced Financial Technology (JS4428) or minor programmes such as Entrepreneurship and Innovation and any other programmes offered by the University.
