Short Description

The programme aims to prepare graduates who are competent to work in the health and social care arena. Graduates are eligible to apply for the licence of Registered Nurse with The Nursing Council of Hong Kong (NCHK).  Students are required to successfully complete a total of 151 credits including taught courses and clinical practicums.  For details of programme requirements, please refer to the website of Tung Wah College.

Applicants with previous HKDSE subject result of A040 ‘Liberal Studies’ will be used as the alternative of the core subject requirement of A045 ‘Citizenship and Social Development’.

  • Only applicants who have taken elective subjects under Category A will be considered.
  • Priority will be given to those applicants who have obtained Level 4 or above in English Language.
  • Applicants should be fluent in written English and Chinese, and in oral English and Cantonese.
  • Students with HKDSE English Language results at Level 3 are required to complete non-credit bearing English enhancement course(s) in the first year of study.

Tung Wah College will adjust the tuition fee of its programmes based on the Composite Consumer Price Index to be announced by the Government annually.

The above tuition fee is net of annual subsidy under the Study Subsidy Scheme for Designated Professions/Sectors (SSSDP). In 2024/2025 academic year, the annual subsidy under the SSSDP is $79,770 for laboratory-based undergraduate programmes. The annual subsidy amount may vary in each academic year subject to the announcement by the Education Bureau. For details, please visit http://www.cspe.edu.hk/sssdp.

Only local students are eligible to be subsidised under SSSDP.
