The Open University of Hong Kong

OUHK awards are well recognized locally and internationally. Our degrees are also recognized by other universities locally and internationally for postgraduate studies. Many of the graduates also went on to further studies locally and abroad. All of our taught programmes, no matter the study mode is face-to-face or distance learning, are on the Qualifications Register (QR) under the Hong Kong Qualifications Framework (HKQF) introduced by the Education Bureau (EDB) of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR). Our bachelor degrees are on QF level 5. According to a comparability study of the HKQF and the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) carried out by EDB, our bachelor and master degrees are found comparable with bachelor and master degrees under EQF.  Please click here for further details.

Many of our graduates are working in the civil service, commerce, industry, social services, health care and education institution sectors. According to our recent survey, near 90% of the graduates in 2019 found a job within 6 months of graduation. The highest monthly salary was $45,000 and the average monthly salary was $18,000. These figures are similar to those of the other universities in Hong Kong. Many of the graduates also went on to further studies locally and abroad.
