Cancellation of JUPAS Application

1 Can applicants cancel their JUPAS applications and apply for admission to the 9 JUPAS participating-institutions and / or the SSSDP institutions directly?

Applicants with HKDSE Examination results only

Local applicants with HKDSE Examination results only should apply via JUPAS on the strength of their HKDSE Examination results. They CANNOT apply for admission to the 9 JUPAS participating-institutions and / or the SSSDP institutions directly. Applicants with HKDSE Examination results only should note that even if they have cancelled their JUPAS applications and apply for admission to the 9 JUPAS participating-institutions and / or the SSSDP institutions directly, they will NOT be considered by any of these institutions for admission in the same academic year (2025 – 2026) solely on the strength of their HKDSE Examination results.

Non-local applicants with HKDSE Examination results only should apply directly to the individual institutions via the non-JUPAS route.

Local applicants with a combination of HKDSE Examination results and other academic results

Local applicants with a combination of HKDSE Examination AND other academic results may apply to the respective institutions for direct entry. It will however be up to the individual institutions to decide whether or not to accept their applications. Applicants are advised to consult individual institutions concerned for further information before cancelling their JUPAS applications.

Eligible applicants who wish to apply for admission to the programmes under JUPAS via non-JUPAS must first cancel their JUPAS applications before applying. Once the process for cancellation of their 2025 JUPAS applications is completed, they will no longer be able to access the information contained in "My Application" in their JUPAS accounts. Any fees paid will not be refunded or transferred to another year / other application.

The deadline for cancellation of JUPAS applications is 16 July 2025 (11:59 pm).

2 Can applicants who have cancelled their JUPAS applications reinstate their JUPAS applications at a later stage?

Applicants who have cancelled their JUPAS applications and wish to reinstate their JUPAS applications at a later stage may do so on or before the deadline of 28 May 2025 (5:00 pm). All requests for reinstatement of JUPAS applications will be subject to a charge of HK$350.

Applicants who submit their requests for reinstatement of their JUPAS applications after the deadline of 28 May 2025 (5:00 pm) will NOT be accepted and their JUPAS applications will not, under any circumstances, be reinstated in the same admissions exercise (2024 – 2025).
