HKU and Peking University (PKU) are launching a dual LLB degree programme for the 2019 intake. This dual degree integrates the strengths of two leading law schools in Hong Kong and Mainland China. Students who complete this five-year programme will get two LLB degrees from a world-leading university.
This new programme allows students to develop a robust understanding of two different, associated legal systems. Graduates will develop a durable command of substantive legal knowledge across the two systems, paired with essential analytical skills that are grounded in specific cultural, social and political contexts. The programme will prepare students for a career covering both Hong Kong and Mainland China. The students will spend the first 2.5 years at their home institution and the following 2.5 years at the host institution.
HKU is making this initial announcement – to alert potential students of this imminent new HKU study option. If applicants are interested in this dual degree programme, please provide their details to HKU via this link. HKU will inform applicants of the application procedures and programme details once these have all been finalised.
