The JUPAS Office is pleased to announce that the JUPAS website has won the "Triple Gold Award" in the 2022 – 2023 Web Accessibility Recognition Scheme (Scheme) organised by the Hong Kong Internet Registration Corporation Limited (HKIRC).  This is the second time that the JUPAS website has achieved "Gold Award" in three consecutive years in this Scheme.  The Scheme is co-organised by the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO) with the Equal Opportunities Commission (EOC) serving as the independent advisor.  The Scheme was set up to recognise and award the websites of commercial and non-commercial organisations which offer such features as equality of access and ease of use.

Ms. Daphne Lui, Executive Director of the JUPAS Office, received the award on behalf of the JUPAS Office at the award presentation ceremony held on 24 April 2023.  She expressed her pleasure in receiving the award, which is attributed to a dedicated effort made by her team members that helped the Office succeed in fulfilling the stringent criteria of the Scheme.  In this regard, the Office has always regarded web accessibility as a most important element in servicing its stakeholders, and it is such a philosophy which has enabled its team to continue to strive for excellence in building and maintaining its website.

The award-winning JUPAS website fulfilled 27 judging criteria required by the Gold Category which offers such features as a user-friendly design, compatibility with Screen Readers, cross-browser compatibility, basic and key web accessibility features, and a customised programme-search engine.  The website is monitored and reviewed regularly, and continually improved to serve the evolving needs of JUPAS's stakeholders.
