New JUPAS Website Feature and Cancellation of Subsequent Round as from the 2023 JUPAS Cycle

New JUPAS Website Feature as Substitute for the JUPAS Mobile App

The JUPAS Office continually enhance the user experience of JUPAS website and the JUPAS online application system.  A new feature "Subscribe JUPAS Calendar" is introduced on the website in the 2023 cycle.  It allows applicants to synchronise the JUPAS key dates with their personal web-based calendars, and for viewing them via personal electronic devices.  The JUPAS Calendar carries a default notification function that reminds applicants of important JUPAS key dates such that they will not miss deadlines.  Moreover, if there are any updates in JUPAS's key dates, such updates will automatically be synchronised on the users' web-based calendars.

These features are an improvement on those offered by, and surpass the functions of the Mobile App.  As such, the latter will be substituted as from the 2023 JUPAS cycle.  The JUPAS's information will be consolidated on our website.

JUPAS Subsequent Round

Considering some JUPAS participating-institutions and the SSSDP institutions (the Institutions) may wish to have the flexibility to conduct recruitment of applicants without offers in the Main and Clearing Rounds (but who may be eligible for other programmes) earlier or immediately after the Clearing Round.  As from the 2023 cycle, the Institutions agreed that the JUPAS Subsequent Round be replaced by the direct recruitment of these applicants by the respective institutions.  In this arrangement, Institutions concerned will continue to make offers directly to these applicants, provided that vacancies are still available.  Such applicants need not approach the Institutions to reapply, as they will be further considered by the Institutions for any programmes (which may be outside their selected programme choices offered under JUPAS) if they are found to be suitable for such programmes.

Applicants who are given offers will be informed directly by the Institutions offering them admission, and they will be required to pay the acceptance fees and complete the registration / enrolment procedures at the Institutions concerned if they wish to accept the offers.
