Short Description
The BEng(EngSc) (6951) degree aims at providing students a comprehensive engineering programme and equip them with multi-disciplinary knowledge and skills in engineering and other non-technical field. The programme features a flexible structure with five areas (majors) of concentration:
- Healthcare Engineering
- Energy Engineering
- Environmental Engineering
- Materials Engineering
- Systems Analytics
Students can pursue second major in one of the remaining four majors of BEng(EngSc), or other second major and minor options offered by other faculties.

Level 3 or above in Mathematics (Extended Module 1 or Module 2) is preferred (but not required)

Remark:
- "Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education” is referred to as “HKDSE”.
- "Attained with Distinction" obtained prior to 2018, or "Attained with Distinction (I)" or "Attained with Distinction (II)" obtained in or after 2018, in Applied Learning subjects (other than Applied Learning Chinese) will be used as additional supporting information. In the meantime, student learning experiences in Applied Learning subjects may be considered within the context of other learning experiences in their application.

Calculation of scores for applicants with more than 1 sitting in HKDSE Examination
In general, most of the programmes offered by HKU consider the best results achieved by candidates in different combination of sittings, except for a few programmes which only consider the latest results.
