Application Period and Method

Application Period

6 October 2022 (9:00 am) to 7 December 2022 (11:59 pm)

Applicants who are eligible to apply via JUPAS and wish to apply for admission to the programmes offered under JUPAS should submit and complete their applications via the JUPAS online application system from 6 October 2022 (9:00 am) – 7 December 2022 (11:59 pm).

Applicants are advised to submit their applications earlier to avoid heavy internet traffic near the deadline (i.e. 7 December 2022 (11:59 pm)).

9 December 2022 (9:00 am) to 31 May 2023 (5:00 pm)

Applicants who have missed the above deadline (i.e. 7 December 2022 (11:59 pm)) may submit late applications.  Late applications are accepted during the period 9 December 2022 (9:00 am)  31 May 2023 (5:00 pm).

All late applications MUST BE completed and submitted via the JUPAS online application system.

The fee for late application is HK$810 (which includes the application fee of HK$460 and a late charge of HK$350).  Applicants must pay the late application fee via credit card, PPS by Internet or FPS.

Applicants should note that whilst late applications are accepted, under no circumstances whatsoever would submissions of OEA, SLP, Other Academic Results (Language Subjects), Music Qualifications, ACL, Prior Education and Reference Report (for non-school applicants only) / School Reference Report be accepted after their respective deadlines.

Late applications submitted after the deadline of 31 May 2023 (5:00 pm) will NOT be accepted.

Completion of Application Procedures

Applicants will receive emails#^ from the JUPAS Office upon their successful creation of a JUPAS account and successful generation of an application number by the JUPAS online application system.

It is applicants' responsibilities to check for such messages.  If they believe they should have received such messages but it does not appear they have, they should enquire at the JUPAS Office immediately.

Before submitting the applications, applicants are advised to go through the Online Application System User Guide for Applicants (Applicants' User Guide) which is a step-by-step demonstration of the procedures on submission of application.

Applicants should complete ALL of the following steps for the submission of applications.

Mandatory

Applicants must complete ALL the necessary steps below:

The Applicants' User Guide on submission of application will be available at the JUPAS website in early October 2022.

School and Non-school Applicants

Applicants who are current secondary school students MUST apply via JUPAS as school applicants regardless of whether they may be sitting for the 2023 HKDSE Examination as private candidates.

Applicants who are not current secondary school students MUST apply via JUPAS as non-school applicants.

ALL applicants (school and non-school applicants) applying via JUPAS on the strength of their HKDSE Examination results are considered on the same basis by the 9 JUPAS participating-institutions and the SSSDP institutions.

As email is one of the channels that the JUPAS Office, the 9 JUPAS participating-institutions and the SSSDP institutions will use to communicate with applicants, applicants must ensure that the setting of their personal email accounts will not filter out or place such correspondence in the trash / junk bins.

^ Emails and SMS are delivered via third party network providers and therefore the JUPAS Office is not responsible for any delay, loss, transfer, amendment or damage arising from the transmission process via third party network providers.

Should there be any discrepancies between information contained in emails and SMS and applicants' JUPAS accounts, the information contained in the latter (i.e. the JUPAS accounts) is final.

Applicants are strongly advised to log on their JUPAS accounts to double-check the related information.

Since important messages and correspondence from the JUPAS Office, the 9 JUPAS participating-institutions and the SSSDP institutions will be sent via applicants' mobile phone numbers and / or mailing addresses, applicants SHOULD NEVER share their mobile phone numbers or mailing addresses with other applicants in order to protect any information related to their JUPAS applications.
