Integrated Bachelor of Business Administration Programme 工商管理學士綜合課程

INTEGRATED BBA

Short DescriptionUpdated

The Integrated BBA programme (IBBA) provides students with the greatest flexibility to pursue comprehensive, integrated and high-quality business education.  Under the IBBA programme, there are multiple options students can choose from to complete the 4-year degree.

IBBA students may graduate with a BBA degree with a specialisation in one concentration or two concentrations. Among all specialized options within the programme, students can freely choose one to two concentrations from the following 9 concentration areas:
  • Business Analytics
  • Business Economics
  • Finance
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Management of International Business
  • Human Resource Management
  • Marketing
  • Quantitative Marketing
  • General Business
As there is no quota limitation on each individual concentration, students choose their concentrations based on their interests, strengths and aspirations. They can adjust their areas of concentrations along their academic journey. Students will only be required to declare their concentration(s) in their final year of study.

Global experiential learning is an essential component to all IBBA students. In 2016/17, more than 80% IBBA students participated in an overseas exchange program before they graduate. CUHK Business School also provides ample internship opportunities for students to gain valuable on-the-job training and in-depth understanding of their targeted professions. In 2016/17, more than 90% of IBBA students take up internships before they graduate and many of them receive return offers and become formal and permanent employees of the companies where they have served as interns.

In addition, IBBA students may apply for Asian Business Studies (ABS) stream during the first year of study. ABS is a specialised stream of the IBBA programme, conducted in partnership with Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Waseda University. ABS focuses on Asian business knowledge and practices, and students from three partner universities will share the learning and living experience together in Shanghai, Tokyo and Hong Kong during a period of exchange. Students can also plan their double degree with the School of Journalism and Communication as a 5-year programme. They may also explore double majors with another business programme such as Professional Accountancy (JS4240), Quantitative Finance (JS4252), Insurance, Financial and Actuarial Analysis (JS4238) or a minor programme such as minor programme in Entrepreneurship and Innovation and any other programmes offered by other academic units in the University.

Apart from the above options, students may also consider choosing to study on the newly launched 4-year Dual Undergraduate Degree Programme (DDP) which is jointly offered with IE Business School of IE University.  The curriculum focuses on innovation and entrepreneurship, with an experiential learning approach to develop students with necessary acumen to pursue a successful career as an entrepreneur, or in a multinational organization.  Students will spend the first and the fourth year at CUHK and the second and the third year at IE University.  Applicants who are interested in applying for this Programme are required to apply to the CUHK Business School directly.
