FAQ
NO. Local applicants are only required to create one JUPAS account. They can use the same account to apply for admission to programmes offered by the 9 JUPAS participating-institutions and the SSSDP institutions.
Local applicants who wish to apply for admission to the SSSDP programmes should follow the application procedures of JUPAS. Applicants could select the SSSDP programmes in their programme choice lists. There is no restriction on the number of programme choices they can select from different funding categories / institutions as long as the total number of programmes choices does not exceed 20.
Local applicants who wish to apply for admission to the SSSDP programmes on the strength of their HKDSE Examination results SHOULD normally apply via JUPAS.

Self-financing places of the programme OFFERED UNDER JUPAS:
The places subsidised under SSSDP and the self-financing places of the same programme offered under JUPAS will be differentiated by 2 different JUPAS programme catalogue numbers. Local applicants can select both the places subsidised by the SSSDP and the self-financing places of the same programme offered under JUPAS as 2 of their programme choices.
Self-financing places of the programme NOT OFFERED UNDER JUPAS:
Local applicants can apply for the places subsidised under SSSDP via JUPAS and can also apply directly to the SSSDP institutions for the self-financing places only if they are NOT offered under JUPAS in the same academic year.

Local applicants who are currently enrolled in full-time bachelor's degree programmes OFFERED under JUPAS at one of the SSSDP institutions CANNOT apply for admission to the SSSDP programmes via JUPAS. If the applicants wish to apply via JUPAS, they will be required to withdraw from the programmes they are enrolled in.
Applicants who are currently enrolled in full-time bachelor's degree programmes NOT OFFERED under JUPAS at one of the SSSDP institutions CAN apply for admission to the SSSDP programmes via JUPAS.

YES. Local applicants who are currently enrolled in full-time associate degree / higher diploma programmes at one of the SSSDP institutions CAN apply for admission to the SSSDP programmes via JUPAS.

YES. Local applicants can select only the SSSDP programmes in their programme choice lists. Applicants have the discretion to decide how many and what programmes they wish to choose. There is no restriction on the number of programme choices they can select from different funding categories / institutions as long as the total number of programmes choices does not exceed 20.
Determination of applicants' suitability for admission is entirely the decisions of the SSSDP institutions and is entirely independent of the JUPAS Office. Enquiries on the SSSDP institutions' decisions should be directed to the SSSDP institutions concerned.
Admission to the 9 JUPAS participating-institutions and the SSSDP institutions is on a competitive basis, since the number of places available is normally far less than the number of eligible applicants. In this regard, satisfying the minimum entrance requirements of the 9 JUPAS participating-institutions or the SSSDP institutions, and their respective programmes does not therefore guarantee admission.
In determining applicants' positions in the respective merit order lists, institutions' programmes will consider NOT ONLY the HKDSE Examination results. Other factors taken into considerations may include performance in interviews and / or tests, banding of programme choices, HKDSE Examination results achieved by other applicants in the current year, the number of applicants applying to the programmes, other information provided by applicants in the online application forms etc.
The SSSDP offer results will be announced in the respective rounds of JUPAS offers (which will contain offers from the 9 JUPAS participating-institutions and the SSSDP institutions):

NO. Each successful applicant will receive only ONE offer (i.e. one offer from either one of the 9 JUPAS participating-institutions or the SSSDP institutions) in the Main Round which is the BEST AND ONLY offer to be made in the same academic year (2021 – 2022) and is of the highest possible priority on the programme choice list.
Once the applicants are given Main Round offers (i.e. one offer from either one of the 9 JUPAS participating-institutions or the SSSDP institutions), they will NOT be reconsidered for admission to any other programmes in the Clearing / Subsequent Rounds.
