Applicants with Disabilities

1 How will the 9 JUPAS participating-institutions and the SSSDP institutions consider disability information submitted by applicants?

It is entirely the discretion of the 9 JUPAS participating-institutions and the SSSDP institutions to determine how the disability information will be considered, and is independent of the JUPAS Office. Applicants should consult the general entrance requirements and individual programme requirements and the websites of the respective institutions for further information.

2 If applicants submitted their disability information, will this reduce their chance of admission?

NO. For applicants who have submitted their disability information, their chance of admission of applicants remains equal to others. This arrangement aims to help applicants understand, as early as possible, the types of support and facilities the 9 JUPAS participating-institutions and the SSSDP institutions may offer upon admissions. It also enables the 9 JUPAS participating-institutions and the SSSDP institutions to identify applicants with disabilities, so that appropriate considerations can be given during the admission process.

3 If applicants have applied for special examination arrangements at the HKEAA, do they still need to submit details of their disabilities in their JUPAS accounts?

HKEAA and JUPAS are of two independent systems. If applicants wish to declare and submit their disability information for consideration by the 9 JUPAS participating-institutions and the SSSDP institutions, they are required to submit details of their disabilities and upload supporting documents via their JUPAS accounts, even if they have applied for special examination arrangements at the HKEAA.

The deadline for submission of disability information and uploading of supporting documents via the JUPAS accounts is 3 December 2025 (5:00 pm).

4 If applicants have undergone name changes but the names contained in the supporting documents are the previous ones, what should they do?

Applicants must inform the JUPAS Office immediately and submit copies of Deed Poll and / or identity documents containing the previous names for its necessary actions.
