About JUPAS

JUPAS Application

1 Do applicants have to create new JUPAS accounts if they have already created one in previous admissions exercises?  If so, do they have to submit and fill in the information (e.g. OEA and SLP) again?

YES.  Applicants who wish to apply for 2026 admission via JUPAS have to create new JUPAS accounts even if they have already created one in previous admissions exercises.

All application data, including those submitted by applicants and schools, and the HKDSE Examination results obtained from the HKEAA in previous admissions exercises, will be discarded by the JUPAS Office after 6 months from the completion of the admissions exercise.

Therefore, applicants need to submit all related information, including personal particulars, programme choices, OEA, SLP, supporting documents, etc., to JUPAS again.

Applicants are however NOT required to submit their past and / or current HKDSE Examination results which will be obtained from the HKEAA by the JUPAS Office, the 9 JUPAS participating-institutions and the SSSDP institutions after they have submitted their JUPAS applications.

Please refer to the sections on Optional Information and HKDSE Examination Results for more information.

2 If applicants fall into one of the circumstances of submitting Cross-border Data Transfer Consent Form, does that mean applicants' application Data will be sent to the Scheme for Admission of Hong Kong Students to Mainland Higher Education Institutions, or other applications to universities in Mainland?

NO.  Cross-border Data Transfer Consent Form is ONLY applicable to JUPAS applicants who will process JUPAS application data in Mainland.  JUPAS is totally independent of Scheme for Admission of Hong Kong Students to Mainland Higher Education Institutions, and / or other applications to universities in Mainland; hence there will be NO application data transferring to such admission systems.

3 If applicants fall into one of the circumstances of submitting Cross-border Data Transfer Consent Form, does that mean they will have a chance to sit for HKDSE Examinations in Mainland?

NO.  Cross-border Data Transfer Consent Form is only for processing JUPAS applications, and has NO direct relationship with applicants' own application to HKEAA for HKDSE Examinations.  The HKDSE Examinations, including the venue allocation, are solely arranged by the HKEAA.
