Cancellation of JUPAS Application

1 Can applicants cancel their JUPAS applications and apply for admission to the 9 JUPAS participating-institutions and / or the SSSDP institutions directly?

Applicants with HKDSE Examination results only

Local applicants with HKDSE Examination results only should apply via JUPAS on the strength of their HKDSE Examination results. They CANNOT apply for admission to the 9 JUPAS participating-institutions and / or the SSSDP institutions directly. Applicants with HKDSE Examination results only should note that even if they have cancelled their JUPAS applications and apply for admission to the 9 JUPAS participating-institutions and / or the SSSDP institutions directly, they will NOT be considered by any of these institutions for admission in the same academic year (2026 – 2027) solely on the strength of their HKDSE Examination results.

Non-local applicants with HKDSE Examination results only should apply directly to the individual institutions via the non-JUPAS route.

Local applicants with both HKDSE Examination and other academic results

Local applicants with both HKDSE Examination AND other academic results may apply to the respective institutions for direct entry. It is however the discretion of the individual institutions to decide whether or not to accept their applications. Applicants are advised to consult individual institutions concerned for further information before cancelling their JUPAS applications.

Eligible applicants who wish to apply for admission to the programmes under JUPAS via non-JUPAS must first cancel their JUPAS applications before applying. Once the cancellation process of their 2026 JUPAS applications is completed, they will no longer be able to access the information contained in "My Application" in their JUPAS accounts. Any fees paid are non-refundable and non-transferable to another year / other applications.

The deadline for cancellation of JUPAS applications is 15 July 2026 (5:00 pm).

2 Can applicants who have cancelled their JUPAS applications reinstate their JUPAS applications at a later stage?

Applicants who have cancelled their JUPAS applications and wish to reinstate at a later stage may do so by 27 May 2026 (5:00 pm). All requests for reinstatement will be subject to a charge of HK$350.

Requests for reinstatement after the deadline of 27 May 2026 (5:00 pm) is NOT accepted and their JUPAS applications will not, under any circumstances, be reinstated in the same Admissions Exercise (2025 – 2026).
