Bachelor of Laws 法學士
LLB
Short Description
The Bachelor of Laws (LLB) is a four-year programme that offers intellectual and personal development through the medium of law. Students will explore a range of engaging and important subjects, while developing their critical analysis and creative problem-solving skills and enhancing their ability to construct detailed, well-reasoned, compelling arguments. These are life-long skills that will support graduates in whatever careers they choose, be they in law or other fields.
The first two years are almost entirely focused on compulsory subjects, grouped into the themes of Foundations of Law, Public Law (which governs relations between the state and citizens) and Obligations (which governs relations between citizens). In their final two years, students will combine a few remaining compulsory subjects with courses they select from a range of electives, allowing students to develop further expertise in legal areas of their choice. Students may also choose to specialize in the Global Law or Chinese Law streams, indicated a degree of specialization in that particular area that will be reflected on their transcripts.
LLB students have a few opportunities to obtain double degrees. Please visit the Faculty website for further details.
