BCom (Hons) FinTech
Short Description
The BCom (Hons) FinTech covers four major areas: (1) Finance, (2) Technology, (3) Applied Data Science and (4) Economics, Law and Business, making it a unique FinTech degree programme in Hong Kong.
Graduates of the programme will be well-equipped to pursue their careers in FinTech per se or in companies that employ FinTech solutions. Some may opt to work for information technology and applied data science companies, in regulatory compliance roles, or to launch their own start-up companies. The programme will also provide a solid foundation for further postgraduate study in the field.

Applicants with previous HKDSE subject result of A040 ‘Liberal Studies’ will be used as the alternative of the core subject requirement of A045 ‘Citizenship and Social Development’.
- The‘Attained’ level in the subject ‘Citizenship and Social Development’ can be counted as Level 2 and included in the score calculation of the best five subjects.
- Priority will be given to students who have achieved Level 3 or above in Mathematics and/or Information and Communication Technology.
- Applicants can use at most one relevant Applied Learning subject (ApL) as an elective subject. "Attained with Distinction (II)” and "Attained with Distinction (I)” is comparable to level 4 and level 3 respectively. 'Attained' in ApL will not be considered. In addition, ApL Chinese cannot be used as an elective subject.
- Maximum of one Category C subject (Other languages) can be counted.
- HKSYU accepts combined sittings in HKDSE examination. Please refer to https://uao.hksyu.edu/ for more details.

First Year Tuition Fee
HK$ 78,751
For BCom (Hons) FinTech, the first year tuition fee of 2025/26 entry is $78,751 and the whole programme fee is $315,004. The SSSDP subsidy in 2025/26 is $46,780. After deducting SSSDP subsidy, the estimated first year tuition fee is $31,971 and the whole programme fee is $127,884.
