Bachelor of Laws 法學士
LLB
Short Description
The Bachelor of Laws (LLB) is a four-year programme that offers intellectual and personal development through the medium of law. Students will explore a range of engaging and important subjects, while developing their critical analysis and creative problem-solving skills and enhancing their ability to construct detailed, well-reasoned, compelling arguments. These are life-long skills that will support graduates in whatever careers they choose, including in various different legal positions as well as in other fields.
The first two years cover the compulsory subjects, grouped into the themes of Foundations of Law, Public Law (which governs relations between the state and citizens) and Obligations (which govern relations between citizens). In their final two years, students will have the ability to freely select from a range of electives – providing students flexibility and a broad range of opportunities. Students may also choose to specialize in the Global Law or Chinese Law streams, specializations that would be reflected on their transcripts.
LLB students have a few opportunities to obtain double degrees. Please visit the Faculty website for further details.

Calculation of scores for applicants with more than 1 sitting in HKDSE Examination
Most programmes offered by CUHK consider the best results in the same subject taken by a candidate in more than one sitting of HKDSE. Some programmes may have specific arrangements and the admission scores of candidates seeking admission on the strength of results from more than one sitting of HKDSE may be adjusted. Details of calculation of scores in more than one sitting of HKDSE for the 2023-24 entry will be finalised and posted at the admissions website (admission.cuhk.edu.hk).
