Clearing Round Offer
Clearing Round Consideration
Only applicants who did NOT receive Main Round offers may be considered in the Clearing Round by the 9 JUPAS participating-institutions and the SSSDP institutions (the Institutions), if programme vacancies remain.
This includes applicants who did not receive Offers after Reconsideration.
In the Clearing Round, applicants will be considered only for programmes included in the CONFIRMED programme choice lists. No separate application is required.
Announcement of Clearing Round Offer Results
The Clearing Round offer results will be announced on 24 August 2027 (9:00 am)*. Applicants may check their results via their JUPAS accounts, registered emails#^ and SMS■^◊ via their registered mobile phone number.
Understanding Clearing Round Offers
Applicants who are given a Clearing Round offer will receive only ONE offer from their CONFIRMED programme choice list. The offer may be a UGC-funded programme, an HKMU self-financing programme or an SSSDP programme.
The offer will be the programme of the highest possible priority on the applicant's confirmed programme choice list, as determined via the JUPAS Iteration Process. It is therefore the applicant's BEST AND ONLY offer under JUPAS in the same academic year.
Applicants who are given Clearing Round offers will NOT be reconsidered for admission to any other programmes under JUPAS in the same academic year, regardless of whether they accept or decline their offers.
For the applicable arrangements, please refer to the Summary of Announcement and Acceptance of Offers Arrangements.
Applicants who wish to accept their Clearing Round offers MUST complete BOTH steps below:
Applicants MUST pay an acceptance fee of HK$5,000 on or before 24 August 2027 (5:00 pm)*. Payment must be made via one of the channels listed under Application Period and Fee.
The acceptance fee is:
-
Collected by the JUPAS Office on behalf of the Institutions; and
-
Non-refundable and non-transferable to another admissions year / other applications.
Late payment is NOT accepted.
After payment, applicants should log in to their JUPAS accounts to check that the payment has been successfully recorded.
After paying the acceptance fee, applicants MUST:
-
Log in to their JUPAS accounts to view the registration / enrolment information provided by the offering institution; and
-
Complete the required registration / enrolment procedures within the period specified by that institution.
Applicants who are unable to complete the procedures within the specified period should contact the offering institution directly as soon as possible. However, the acceptance of any late payment or registration is entirely at the discretion of the institution concerned.
Failure to complete Step 1 and / or Step 2 will be regarded as having declined the Clearing Round offers and will NOT be reconsidered for admission to any other programmes under JUPAS in the same academic year.
For the applicable arrangements, please refer to the Summary of Announcement and Acceptance of Offers Arrangements.
Applicants without Clearing Round Offers
After the Clearing Round, applicants who do not receive Clearing Round offers may still be considered by the Institutions if programme vacancies remain.
At this stage, applicants may be considered for programmes within and outside their confirmed programme choice lists. No further application is required.
As part of the further consideration process, an institution may contact the applicant directly, including to ascertain whether the applicant wishes to be considered for a particular programme. Any offer will be subject to the institution's assessment and admission arrangements. The institution will notify the applicant directly if an offer is made.
# As email is one of the channels that the JUPAS Office, the 9 JUPAS participating-institutions and the SSSDP institutions will use to contact applicants, applicants must ensure that the setting of their personal email accounts will not filter out or place such correspondence in the trash / junk / spam folders.
^ Emails and SMS are delivered via third party network providers and therefore the JUPAS Office is not responsible for any delay, loss, transfer, amendment or damage arising from the transmission process via third party network providers.
Should there be any discrepancies between information contained in emails and SMS and applicants' JUPAS accounts, the information contained in the JUPAS accounts will prevail.
Applicants are strongly advised to log in to their JUPAS accounts to double-check the related information.
■ Since important messages and correspondence from the JUPAS Office, the 9 JUPAS participating-institutions and the SSSDP institutions will be sent via applicants' mobile phone numbers and / or mailing addresses, applicants SHOULD NEVER share their mobile phone numbers or mailing addresses with other applicants in order to protect any information related to their JUPAS applications.
◊ SMS will be sent with the Registered SMS Sender ID of #JUPAS to a valid Hong Kong mobile phone number.
