School Principal's Nominations (SPN)

YES. Each school's SPN quota is determined according to the number of its JUPAS applicants as at the late application deadline (i.e. 13 January 2027 (5:00 pm)). Applicants should contact their schools for further information.

2 Will an SPN nominee continue to receive special consideration in the Main Round if the nominee deletes a Band A programme choice recorded as at 13 January 2027 (5:00 pm), or moves it to a lower band after the release of HKDSE Examination results?

The 9 JUPAS participating-institutions and / or the SSSDP institutions will give special consideration only to an SPN nominee’s programme choices that:

Were placed in Band A as at 26 May 2027 (5:00 pm); and
Remain in Band A following the modification of programme choices after the release of HKDSE Examination results.

If an SPN nominee deletes any such programme choice or moves it to a lower band during the modification period, special consideration for that programme may be withdrawn.

3 Following Question 2, will special consideration of SPN be given again if an SPN nominee places the relevant programme choice back in Band A when submitting a request for Reconsideration?

YES. If an SPN nominee places the relevant programme choice back in Band A when submitting a request for Reconsideration, the 9 JUPAS participating-institutions and / or the SSSDP institutions will continue to give special consideration to that programme under SPN.

4 How can applicants find out whether they have been nominated under SPN?

From 10 May 2027 (5:00 pm) onwards, applicants may log in to their JUPAS accounts and check the relevant information under "Application Overview".
