Selection / Updating and Modification of Programme Choices
Introduction
Applicants may select a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 20 programme choices from the programmes offered under JUPAS across 9 participating-institutions and SSSDP institutions (the Institutions) and different funding categories.
Applicants MUST arrange their programme choices in order of preference. They should only include programmes that they are prepared to accept, as they may be considered for admission to any programme included in their programme choices.
Different modification and submission arrangements apply at different stages of the admissions exercise. Applicants should refer to Application Period and Fee and below for the applicable periods, deadlines, fees and limits before submitting their programme choices.
Applicants may select, update or modify their programme choices only during the applicable periods set out below.
Preparation for Selecting, Updating or Modifying Programme Choices
Before selecting, updating or modifying their programme choices, applicants should:

REVIEW the general entrance requirements and individual programme requirements;

VISIT the websites of the Institutions to understand the applicable admissions requirements, including language and subject requirements based on the HKDSE Examination results;

CHECK the Programme Changes section for the latest updates from the Institutions;
-
REFER to the Applicants' User Guide for step-by-step instructions; and
-
READ the relevant Summary of Procedures.
Under the Agreement among the Institutions on Modification of Programme Choices, the Institutions will NOT provide official advice on programme selection during 14 July – 16 July 2027*), regardless of who initiates the communication. This includes advice provided via interviews / programme counselling, telephone / electronic communication, and other formal / informal contacts with applicants, etc.
Applicants who may wish to modify their programme choices should therefore obtain the necessary programme information from the Institutions no later than 13 July 2027*.
Applicants should refer to the Applicants' User Guide for step-by-step instructions.
The following steps apply to the each submission period of programme choices.
Step 1: Select and Modify Programme Choices under "My DRAFT Programme Choices"

Select or modify the programme choices under "My DRAFT Programme Choices"; and
-
Arrange the programme choices in order of preference and review them carefully.
Step 2: Submit "My DRAFT Programme Choices" to "My CONFIRMED Programme Choices"
- Submit programme choices from "My DRAFT Programme Choices" to "My CONFIRMED Programme Choices" within period specified under Important Dates and Submission Arrangements.
Programme choices remaining under "My DRAFT Programme Choices" are working drafts only which will NOT be submitted automatically and will NOT be considered by the Institutions.
Only programme choices recorded under "My CONFIRMED Programme Choices" will be considered by the Institutions.
Step 3: Check Programme Choices after Submission
After each submission, applicants should log in to their JUPAS accounts to check that:

Their programme choices have been successfully submitted under "My CONFIRMED Programme Choices"; and
-
Their programme choices and order of preference are correct.
The programme choices recorded under "My CONFIRMED Programme Choices" will be considered by the Institutions in compiling the Merit Order Lists for the JUPAS Iteration Process.
Applicants are responsible for ensuring that their programme choices are complete and accurate. In the event of any disputes and queries, the JUPAS Office will refer to the records maintained in the JUPAS Online Application System.
The amendment fee must be settled via one of the designated channels listed in the section Application Period and Fee. Please note that the amendment fee is collected by the JUPAS Office on behalf of the Institutions. Any fees paid are non-refundable and non-transferable to another admissions year / other applications.
Once the payment has been successfully made, applicants may proceed to update their programme choices.
Applicants will be notified immediately of the successful payment of the amendment fee via email#^, the JUPAS account message box, SMS■^◊ via their registered mobile phone number; and through the updated "Payment History" in their JUPAS accounts.
Applicants may modify their programme choice lists ONCE, FREE OF CHARGE, during 14 July (3:00 pm) – 16 July 2027 (3:00 pm)*.
Applicants who do not wish to modify their programme choices do NOT need to make any submission during the modification period. Their existing programme choices recorded as 26 May 2027 (5:00 pm) under "My CONFIRMED Programme Choices" will continue to be considered by the Institutions.
Applicants who wish to modify the programme choices may:

ADD and / or REPLACE up to 5 programmes; and / or
-
REARRANGE the order of the programme choices; and / or
-
DELETE programme choices,
subject to a maximum of 20 programme choices.
Applicants SHOULD follow the steps under How to Select, Update or Modify and Submit Programme Choices via JUPAS Accounts. All modified programme choices MUST be submitted to "My CONFIRMED Programme Choices" within the modification period.
Only programme choices recorded under "My CONFIRMED Programme Choices" will be considered by Institutions.

Applicants who obtain upgraded HKDSE Examination results in subject levels / grades after rechecking and remarking from the HKEAA are eligible to request Reconsideration of their JUPAS applications (Reconsideration) under JUPAS during 12 August 2027 (9:00 am – 5:00 pm).
Eligible applicants who wish to submit requests for reconsideration of applications should follow the applicable arrangement:

Applicants who do not wish to modify their programme choices MUST still submit their programme choices from "My DRAFT Programme Choices" to "My CONFIRMED Programme Choices" as part of the reconsideration request process.

Applicants may modify the programme choices recorded under "My CONFIRMED Programme Choices" as at 26 May 2027 (5:00 pm) ONCE, FREE OF CHARGE. They may:

ADD and / or REPLACE up to 5 programmes; and / or
-
REARRANGE the order of their programme choices; and / or
-
DELETE programme choices,
subject to a maximum of 20 programme choices.
Applicants SHOULD follow the steps under How to Select, Update or Modify and Submit Programme Choices via JUPAS Accounts. All requests, whether the programme choices are modified, MUST be submitted within the reconsideration request period.
Only programme choices recorded under "My CONFIRMED Programme Choices" will be considered by Institutions.
IMPORTANT: Applicants with Main Round offers should carefully consider which programmes they should place above the programmes already offered (Main Round offers). Only programmes that they genuinely prefer should be placed above their Main Round offers. Please note that:

Only programmes placed ABOVE their Main Round offers will be considered for an Offer after Reconsideration;
-
The programmes offered in the Main Round MUST NOT be deleted; and
-
The programmes offered in the Main Round MUST NOT be placed as the first programme choice.
If applicants do not comply with these requirements, their requests for reconsideration cannot be processed.

# As email is one of the channels that the JUPAS Office, the 9 JUPAS participating-institutions and the SSSDP institutions will use to contact applicants, applicants must ensure that the setting of their personal email accounts will not filter out or place such correspondence in the trash / junk / spam folders.
^ Emails and SMS are delivered via third party network providers and therefore the JUPAS Office is not responsible for any delay, loss, transfer, amendment or damage arising from the transmission process via third party network providers.
Should there be any discrepancies between information contained in emails and SMS and applicants' JUPAS accounts, the information contained in the JUPAS accounts will prevail.
Applicants are strongly advised to log in to their JUPAS accounts to double-check the related information.
■ Since important messages and correspondence from the JUPAS Office, the 9 JUPAS participating-institutions and the SSSDP institutions will be sent via applicants' mobile phone numbers and / or mailing addresses, applicants SHOULD NEVER share their mobile phone numbers or mailing addresses with other applicants in order to protect any information related to their JUPAS applications.
