Period 3: Before HKDSE Exam Results Announcement (May – Jun 2027)

School Principal's Nominations (SPN) allows school principals to nominate JUPAS applicants who have made contributions to social services or demonstrated outstanding achievements in the non-academic areas, including:

• Creative activities and art;

• Community services;

• Leadership;

• Music and other cultural activities; and

• Sports

Applicants nominated under SPN may receive special consideration from the 9 JUPAS participating-institutions and the SSSDP institutions (the Institutions) for their Band A programme choices.  Nomination does not guarantee admission.

The decision on whether to submit nominations, and which applicants to be nominated rests entirely with the relevant school principal.  The JUPAS Office is NOT responsible for disputes between applicants and schools arising from the nomination arrangements.

Applicants nominated under the School Nominations Direct Admission Scheme (SNDAS) are NOT eligible for nomination under SPN, and vice versa.

For School Applicants

School applicants who have demonstrated outstanding achievements in the non-academic areas listed above may approach the principals of the secondary schools they are currently attending and which are participating in the current JUPAS Admissions Exercise to enquire whether they may be considered for nomination.

For Non-school Applicants

Non-school applicants with such contributions or achievements may approach the principals of their former secondary schools participating in the current JUPAS Admissions Exercise to enquire whether they could be considered for nomination.

School principals may nominate only their current students or former students of their schools.  Nominations must be submitted via the JUPAS Online Application System on or before 10 May 2027 (5:00 pm).

Late submission / further amendment is NOT accepted.

After the deadline, applicants should log in to their JUPAS accounts and check under "Application Overview" whether they have been nominated.  Nominees may view the outcome and related information from 9 July 2027 (9:00 am)*.  For the applicable arrangements, please refer to Feedback on Special Consideration.

Nominees may modify their programme choices after the release of the HKDSE Examination results.  However:

• Only programme choices placed in Band A as at 26 May 2027 (5:00 pm) will be considered under SPN; and

• Programme moved from lower bands to Band A or newly added to Band A after the release of the HKDSE Examination results will generally not be considered under SPN.

Conditional offers and / or bonus points granted under SPN may be withdrawn if:

• The relevant programme choices that were in Band A as at 26 May 2027 (5:00 pm) are subsequently deleted or moved to lower bands after the release of the HKDSE Examination results; or

• Applicants fail to meet the conditions specified in the conditional offers.
