Other Experiences and Achievements in Competitions / Activities (OEA)

Introduction

Submission of OEA information is optional.  Applicants may submit up to 10 awards / activities.  They should select the awards / activities that best represent their experiences and achievements, with an emphasis on quality rather than quantity.

The 9 JUPAS participating-institutions and the SSSDP institutions (the Institutions) may consider applicants' OEA information in addition to their HKDSE Examination results.

OEA are provided for reference only.  The Institutions will determine how the OEA information is considered in their admissions assessments.

Important Dates and Submission Arrangements

  • Applicants should refer to Applicants' User Guide Section 4.1 for the step-by-step instructions. 

  • The deadline for submitting OEA Information is 20 January 2027 (5:00 pm).

  • Late submission or uploading of supporting documents / further amendment is NOT accepted.

  • OEA entries may be randomly selected for verification.  Applicants whose entries are selected MUST upload the required supported documents via JUPAS accounts by 20 January 2027 (5:00 pm)

  • The OEA page on the JUPAS Online Application System will be temporarily unavailable while the JUPAS Office verifies and updates applicants' OEA information.  Applicants may access their OEA information and check any amendments via their JUPAS accounts from 9 March 2027 (9:00 am).

After Submission

After submission, applicants should log in to their JUPAS accounts to check that their OEA information has been successfully submitted and saved.  In the event of any disputes or queries, ONLY records maintained in applicants' JUPAS accounts will be accepted by the JUPAS Office.

Applicants who have submitted OEA information may log in to their JUPAS accounts from 9 July 2027 (9:00 am) to check the relevant feedback.  For details, please refer to the Feedback on Special Consideration section.

Each award / activity, applicants may provide a brief description in either English or Chinese, subject to a maximum of 40 words.

Section 2: Additional Information

Submission of "Additional Information" is optional.  Applicants may describe, in either English or Chinese, an interest or an experience that has been meaningful to them or has influenced their personal growth and life goals.  The word limit must not exceed 500 words.

Requirements for Supporting Documents

Supporting documents MUST be official proof of the applicant's participation in, or achievement relating to, the relevant competitions or activities.  The information shown on the documents must match the corresponding OEA entry input in their JUPAS accounts.

Acceptable supporting documents include:

  • Certificates / letters issued by organising body;

  • Certificates / letters issued by school;

  • Photographs of medals / trophies showing the applicant's name;

  • Online results published on the official website of the competition / activity / organising body, with a valid hyperlink and the applicant's information clearly shown; or

  • Other official proof containing the required information.

Verification and Use of Supporting Documents

The supporting documents will be used to verify the OEA information submitted by applicants.

In case of discrepancies between the information entered by applicants and the information stated in the uploaded supporting documents, the information stated in the uploaded supporting documents will prevail.  The JUPAS Office will amend applicants' records accordingly without further notice.

Admission decisions are subject to the authenticity of the qualifications submitted.  The Institutions may require applicants to present the original supporting documents for verification.  Applicants should ensure that all information entered and supporting documents submitted are accurate and verifiable.  The submission of false or unverifiable information may result in disqualification of the JUPAS application, withdrawal of an offer, cancellation of registration or enrolment, or termination of studies by the Institutions.
