Bachelor of Engineering and Master of Science in Engineering in Artificial Intelligence in Engineering 工學學士與人工智能理學碩士聯合課程

BEng X + MScEng AIE

Short Description

Artificial intelligence (AI) has become a significant force worldwide, sparking transformation and revolutionary developments across many engineering industries. Combining various machine learning and automation methodologies in AI, engineers can substantially enhance safety, reliability, and productivity for their existing industries. Consequently, the Faculty of Engineering aims to combine the solid and existing Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) programmes to nurture highly interdisciplinary engineers equipped with modern AI Master-degree skills to overcome various future engineering challenges. Applicants can use one single code, 6377, to apply for the Bachelor of Engineering and Master of Science in Engineering in Artificial Intelligence in Engineering (BEng X + MScEng AIE) programme.

Features of BEng X + MScEng AIE programme are as follows:

  • Freely Choose a BEng Programme (X) from the Followings to Start in Year 2
To achieve the interdisciplinary training, students will choose Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Data and Systems Engineering or Mechanical Engineering as their BEng degree.
  • Obtain a BEng Degree and a Master of Science (MSc) Degree in AI in Engineering in 4+1 Years
With the curriculum design, students are expected to obtain their chosen BEng degrees (X) and a Master of Science degree in Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Engineering in 4+1 years. By adopting different course schedules, students may also choose to complete them.
  • Scholarship for MSc Degree Programme
Each student can receive a scholarship of HKD120,000 when enrolling in the Master of Science programme in AI in Engineering in their fifth year studies.
  • Freely opt out of this BEng X + MScEng AIE scheme
Students can freely opt out of this BEng X + MScEng AIE scheme with no penalties, i.e. they can successfully earn their bachelor degree after completing the necessary requirements in their chosen major.
