Short Description
Why Study BBA BBA Artificial Intelligence in Business?
BBA Artificial Intelligence in Business (AIB) cultivates future-ready smart business professionals who bridge cutting-edge intelligent technology and corporate strategy. Rooted in the ABCD framework – Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Cloud Services and Digital Transformation – the programme equips students to deliver tangible business value amid global digital transformation.
AIB IS Smart Double Major
Students enjoy flexible, official double-major pathways within CityUHK College of Business, pairing AIB with Accountancy, Finance, Marketing, Business Analysis or Global Operations Management.
Hong Kong’s core economic pillars – financial services, professional audit & consulting, cross-border trading, logistics and digital commerce – are undergoing full-scale AI and big data-powered transformation. As enterprises rush to deploy generative AI, there is unprecedented market demand for hybrid talent with both business acumen and technical know-how, opening abundant high-growth career pathways for our graduates.
AIB IS Smart Innovation
Students master the full toolkit of modern intelligent information systems (generative AI, large language models, big data analytics, enterprise cloud infrastructure) to design and launch scalable business innovations.
Two flagship overseas experiential programmes are exclusive to BBAIS students:
- One-week Summer Smart Business Study Tour: Visit top universities across the Netherlands, Paris, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, the US and Canada, plus leading AAAF tech giants in Silicon Valley – Apple, Amazon, Alphabet and Meta (formerly Facebook) – to witness real-world AI product development.
- One-month Greater Bay Area Smart Business Project Tour: Combine corporate site visits and supervised hands-on project experience at FinTech institutions and BAT enterprises (Baidu, Alibaba, Tencent), exploring regional digital economy and cross-border e-commerce use cases.
AIB IS Smart Business
Students build robust commercial strategic thinking through exposure to state-of-the-art intelligent systems frameworks and agentic digital business models. They learn to evaluate fast-growing tech unicorns, interpret market data and deliver data-backed investment recommendations.
The curriculum systematically strengthens cross-cultural communication, cross-functional coordination and end-to-end project management capabilities, fully preparing graduates to take specialist and project leadership roles within multinational corporations, Big Four firms and global tech enterprises.
