ARCHITECTURE
Short Description
The programme provides a basis for architectural education in general, as well as a first stage in the preparation for a professional career in architecture. The core of the programme is the design studio, complemented by courses in the humanities, technology, design computation and professional practice. Students are encouraged to enrich their basic architectural studies through an extensive range of elective courses, both architectural and cross-disciplinary, and to experience other cultures made possible by field trips and student exchange programmes.

Calculation of scores for applicants with more than 1 sitting in HKDSE Examination
Most programmes offered by CUHK consider the best results in the same subject taken by a candidate in more than one sitting of HKDSE. Some programmes may have specific arrangements and the admission scores of candidates seeking admission on the strength of results from more than one sitting of HKDSE may be adjusted. Details of calculation of scores in more than one sitting of HKDSE for the 2025-26 entry will be finalised and posted at the admissions website (admission.cuhk.edu.hk).
