Short Description
From AI and mobile computing to e-commerce, computers and their applications have become the enabling technologies for modern society and smart cities of the future. However, Hong Kong and the world are currently facing a shortage of software development experts. Our Applied Computing degree programme is designed to address this shortage by training IT professionals for various sectors.
BSc-AC is a career-oriented programme that focuses on the essential skills related to software development, with selected traditional and advanced topics from computing, computer science, and user-interface design.
Areas of study: Computer Science, Software Development, Artificial Intelligence, e-Commerce Technology, UI/UX Design

First Year Tuition Fee
HK$ 91,680
A subsidy of HK$46,780 per annum will be granted to local BSc-AC entrants under SSSDP and the annual tuition fee after deduction of the subsidy will be:
Year 1 / Year 2: HK$44,900
Year 3 / Year 4: HK$56,920
Remarks:
- The tuition fees shown above are at the fee level of 2025/26 cohort and HSUHK may adjust the annual tuition fee for the subsequent years of study according to the Composite Consumer Price Index (CCPI) announced by the HKSAR Government.
- The subsidy is tenable for the normal duration of the programme, i.e. 4 years.
