Short Description
The programme aims to nurture students to become professional physiotherapists with a caring attitude, strong communication and leadership skills, commitment for lifelong learning and an ability to serve the healthcare needs in the community. The programme content is matched to the requirements of the local registration board and international entry-level physiotherapy education standards. In addition to lectures, we teach physiotherapy core courses through small group teaching, utilising both specialised laboratories and real clinical settings. The programme includes over 1,000 hours of clinical placements in different settings such as hospital in-patient and out-patient departments, as well as community-based rehabilitation centres.
The programme has received accreditation from the Physiotherapists Board of the Supplementary Medical Professions Council (SMPC) in June 2022. Graduates are eligible to apply for registration as Physiotherapists “物理治療師” for practice in Hong Kong.
Remarks:
Preference for interview invitation will be given to selected candidates who place the programme as their Band A choices.

Applicants with previous HKDSE subject result of A040 ‘Liberal Studies’ will be used as the alternative of the core subject requirement of A045 ‘Citizenship and Social Development’.
- Preference will be given to applicants who have obtained Level 4 or above in English Language and Biology / Physics / Combined Science (Biology and Physics)* in HKDSE.
- Students with HKDSE English Language results at Level 3 are required to complete non-credit bearing English enhancement course(s) in the first year of study.

Tung Wah College will adjust the tuition fee of its programmes based on the Composite Consumer Price Index to be announced by the Government annually.
The above tuition fee is net of annual subsidy under the Study Subsidy Scheme for Designated Professions/Sectors (SSSDP). In 2025/2026 academic year, the annual subsidy under the SSSDP is $81,450 for laboratory-based undergraduate programmes. Only local students are eligible to be subsidised under SSSDP.
