BSc (Hons) ADS
Short Description
The BSc (Hons) ADS programme aims to equip graduates with cross-disciplinary skills to understand and overcome the challenges associated with interpreting large volumes of data and communicating the results to the intended audience to enable data-driven decision making and solve real-world problems. Students from all education backgrounds are welcome.
The curriculum includes courses in five key areas: (1) Fundamental Concepts in ADS, (2) Business Analytics, (3) Digital Humanities/Social Science, (4) Data Visualization, and (5) Professional Internship and Capstone Projects.

Applicants with previous HKDSE subject result of A040 ‘Liberal Studies’ will be used as the alternative of the core subject requirement of A045 ‘Citizenship and Social Development’.
- The‘Attained’ level in the subject ‘Citizenship and Social Development’ can be counted as Level 2 and included in the score calculation of the best five subjects.
- Priority will be given to students who have achieved Level 4 or above in the ‘Extended modules in Mathematics’ and/or Information and Communication Technology.
- Applicants can use at most one relevant Applied Learning subject (ApL) as an elective subject. "Attained with Distinction (II)” and "Attained with Distinction (I)” is comparable to level 4 and level 3 respectively. 'Attained' in ApL will not be considered. In addition, ApL Chinese cannot be used as an elective subject.
- Maximum of one Category C subject (Other languages) can be counted.
- HKSYU accepts combined sittings in HKDSE examination. Please refer to https://uao.hksyu.edu/ for more details.

First Year Tuition Fee
HK$ 94,076
For BSc (Hons) ADS, the first year tuition fee of 2025/26 entry is $94,076 and the whole programme fee is $376,304. The SSSDP subsidy in 2025/26 is $46,780. After deducting SSSDP subsidy, the estimated first year tuition fee is $47,296 and the whole programme fee is $189,184.
