Application Key Dates and Deadlines

Important Details

Applicants should:

  • Read the Online Application System User Guide for Applicants to understand the procedures;

  • Keep a copy of the 2027 JUPAS Admissions Exercise – Application Key Dates and Deadlines for easy reference throughout the admissions exercise;

  • NOT make any false statements, omit or misrepresent any information in their applications, or fail to comply with the Reporting Requirements, otherwise their applications may be disqualified.  The 9 participating-institutions and SSSDP institutions (the Institutions) may also withdraw or amend offers, cancel registration / enrolment or terminate studies;

  • Create their JUPAS accounts and complete their applications as early as possible to avoid system congestion and allow sufficient time to complete all required procedures;

  • NOT use any online translation tools while accessing their JUPAS accounts.  Such tools MAY translate system information inaccurately, interfere with the operation of the system or result in UNSUCCESSFUL SUBMISSION of application information; and

  • Submit / upload their supporting documents relating to their applications only via their JUPAS accounts.  They should NOT send confidential documents, such as copies of HKID Cards or visas, to the JUPAS Office via emails, in order to minimise the risk of data breaches.

School and Non-school Applicants

Applicants MUST apply under the correct applicant type.

School applicants: applicants who are current students of HKDSE Examination participating school, including those who may sit the 2027 HKDSE Examination as private candidates.

Non-school applicants: applicants who are not current students of HKDSE Examination participating school.

ALL eligible applicants applying via JUPAS on the strength of their HKDSE Examination results will be considered on the same basis by the Institutions.

Mandatory Application Steps and Deadlines

Before proceeding with the application steps, applicants should:

  • Identify their eligibility category according to the identity document(s) they hold; and

  • Prepare the corresponding identity document(s) and any supporting documents required.

Applicants should complete all mandatory steps by the specified deadlines.

Application Information Deadlines

Step 1: CREATE JUPAS accounts

  • Applicants may be required to submit additional supporting documents for verification of their application eligibility.

  • They will be notified via emails#^ and SMS^ within 7 working days after submission of identity document(s).  Verification will be processed in the order of submission.

  • Identity documents submitted after 2 December 2026 (5:00 pm) will be handled under the late application arrangement.

Optional Application Information and Deadlines

After completing the mandatory steps 1 to 5 above, applicants may submit other information relevant to their applications via their JUPAS accounts, where applicable.

Applicants should ensure that all information and supporting documents are submitted by the applicable deadlines.  Late submissions or further amendments are NOT accepted.

Requirements for Supporting Documents

The following requirements apply to supporting documents submitted for the verification of the following information entered in applicants' JUPAS accounts:

Applicants should refer to the relevant list before submitting supporting documents.  Qualifications not included in the relevant list are NOT accepted.

Admission decisions are subject to the authenticity of the qualifications submitted.  The Institutions may require applicants to present the original supporting documents for verification.  Applicants should ensure that all qualifications entered and supporting documents submitted are accurate and verifiable.  The submission of false or unverifiable qualifications may result in disqualification of the JUPAS application, withdrawal of an offer, cancellation of registration or enrolment, or termination of studies by the Institutions.

General Requirements

Name on Supporting Documents

The applicants' names on the supporting documents must be the same as the ones in their JUPAS accounts.  If there is any discrepancy between the names, applicants must submit copies of Deed Poll and / or relevant identity documents for verification. 

Discrepancies in Information

In case of discrepancies between the information entered by applicants and the information stated in the uploaded supporting documents, the information stated in the uploaded supporting documents will prevail.  The JUPAS Office will amend applicants' records accordingly without further notice.

For ACL submissions, if there is any discrepancy in the subject grade or level, the information shown on the supporting certificates will prevail.  Applicants' records may be amended accordingly after verification.

Items Not Accepted for Verification

The following items are not accepted for verification:

  1. "Equivalent" qualifications;

  2. Qualifications not listed in the relevant recognised list;

  3. Screenshots showing results from webpages, online portals or emails; and

  4. Provisional results, statements of results, mark forms, score sheets or other non-final result records.

As email is one of the channels that the JUPAS Office, the 9 JUPAS participating-institutions and the SSSDP institutions will use to contact applicants, applicants must ensure that the setting of their personal email accounts will not filter out or place such correspondence in the trash / junk / spam folders.

^ Emails and SMS are delivered via third party network providers and therefore the JUPAS Office is not responsible for any delay, loss, transfer, amendment or damage arising from the transmission process via third party network providers.

Should there be any discrepancies between information contained in emails and SMS and applicants' JUPAS accounts, the information contained in the JUPAS accounts will prevail.

Applicants are strongly advised to log in to their JUPAS accounts to double-check the related information.

Since important messages and correspondence from the JUPAS Office, the 9 JUPAS participating-institutions and the SSSDP institutions will be sent via applicants' mobile phone numbers and / or mailing addresses, applicants SHOULD NEVER share their mobile phone numbers or mailing addresses with other applicants in order to protect any information related to their JUPAS applications.

 SMS will be sent with the Registered SMS Sender ID of #JUPAS to a valid Hong Kong mobile phone number.
