Short Description
The Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Translation Technology programme is a world-leading programme that provides professional training in machine translation, computer-aided translation, localization, speech translation, terminology management, and computing skills. It has an employment-oriented curriculum to meet global job market demand for techno-humanities graduates, a strong teaching team with doctorates from renowned universities to provide quality teaching, state-of-the-art facilities with translation software library, teaching platform, and research laboratory, and it teaches the knowledge and skills of multimodal translation, covering textual, speech, visual, and audio translations.

Applicants with previous HKDSE subject result of A040 ‘Liberal Studies’ will be used as the alternative of the core subject requirement of A045 ‘Citizenship and Social Development’.
Note1:
- “Attained", "Attained with Distinction (I)", and "Attained with Distinction (II)" in Applied Learning (ApL) subjects (Category B) are considered to be equivalent to Level 2, Level 3 and Level 4 in HKDSE subjects respectively. A maximum of 2 Applied Learning (ApL) subjects will be taken into consideration.
- Other Languages subjects (Category C) at specified levels are considered as elective subjects. A maximum of one Other Languages subject will be taken into consideration.
Note2:
For Non-Chinese Speaking (NCS) students fulfilling the specified circumstances below, our University accepts alternative qualifications in Chinese Language as meeting the Chinese Language requirement:
- “Attained with Distinction” in HKDSE Category B (Applied Learning Chinese); or
- Grade A or above in GCE Chinese (A-Level / AS-Level); or
- Grade A / Grade 7 or above in GCSE/IGCSE Chinese

The net tuition fee for the 2026-27 intake after the deduction of HK$46,780 subsidy under the Study Subsidy Scheme for Designated Professions/Sectors:
Year 1: HK$ 33,390
Year 2: HK$ 37,250
Year 3: HK$ 41,100
Year 4: HK$ 43,740
The subsidy is tenable for the normal duration of the study programme concerned and is subject to the students' satisfactory fulfilment for progression in the study programme.
