Short Description

The Programme aims to develop students’ professional knowledge in human structure, movements, kinesiology, and exercise science, and competencies in the demonstration and implementation of contemporary practical skills in sports therapy.

Applicants with previous HKDSE subject result of A040 ‘Liberal Studies’ will be used as the alternative of the core subject requirement of A045 ‘Citizenship and Social Development’.

Admission Score Calculation on Citizenship and Social Development

“Attained” in Citizenship and Social Development will be counted as “Level 2” in the admission score calculation.

Calculation of scores for applicants with more than 1 sitting in HKDSE Examination

The best result from a combination of all HKDSE subjects will be considered and there is no penalty or marks deducted for repeated sittings.

Calculation of scores for applicants with the HKDSE Physical Education subject

For the HKDSE “Physical Education (PE)” subject, the subject score with weighting x 2.0 will be used in the calculation of admission score.


Alternative Qualification(s) in Chinese Language (for NCS applicants only)

If applicants do not have the required HKDSE Chinese Language qualifications, under specific circumstances1, the following language results will be considered individually in the application :

  1. The specific circumstances are :
  • Applicants who have learned Chinese Language for less than 6 years while receiving primary and secondary education; OR
  • Applicants who have learned Chinese Language for 6 years or more in schools, but has been taught an adapted and simpler Chinese Language curriculum not normally applicable to the majority of students in local schools.

Remarks:

  1. Tuition fees for subsequent years are subject to annual adjustment, capped at the movement of the Composite Consumer Price Index (CCPI) announced by the Government. The estimated total programme fee is calculated based on the tuition fee for the first year of study and has not yet reflected any CCPI-based fee adjustments for subsequent academic years (i.e. AY2028/29 onwards).
  2. The annual subsidy for this programme is HK$51,880 for the 2027/28 cohort. The subsidy is tenable for the normal duration of the programme, i.e. 4 years.
  3. Only applicants who satisfy the Category I (CAT I) eligibility criteria stipulated by the Education Bureau (EDB) are eligible for the Study Subsidy Scheme for Designated Professions/Sectors (SSSDP).
